French-Inspired Fête
Taking a break from blogging today so I can enjoy some of the SXSW festivities happening here in Austin, but I thought I’d share a bit of eye candy before dashing out the door! This French-inspired wedding was shot by Laura Novak in Philadelphia, and I immediately fell in love with every single detail. Full of charming touches that could be incorporated into other parties…bridal showers, birthday celebration, or a French-inspired soiree to celebrate summer. And of course, I love a party that features peonies (my favorite) in the most gorgeous shade of pink!
Such a sweet detail: For the ‘party favors’ silver mint julep cups were filled with flowers for “Madmoiselles” and miniature bottles of Pastis for “Messieurs”.
A incredibly luxe wedding cake: the classic French croquembouche, made from profiteroles stacked into a pyramid and bound with threads of caramel.
As a finishing touch on the garden theme, Honey Wheat bread was baked into small clay flowerpots and served with pink-salted butter.
