Turn this Store into a Soiree {Chanel Paris}
Bonjour! I was thrilled to contribute this guest blog to Mimi & Meg, and wanted to share with my readers too. As an event planner, I constantly see party inspiration in unlikely places: movies, paintings, & in this case, the tres chic Parisian storefront of Chanel’s flagship. Think vintage glamour and graphic black & white… that girly-with-edge combination that French women seem to master so effortlessly.
White dishes & pink petals are demure, but bold black details give serious attitude by infusing a bit of naughtiness. Dress the table with couture touches like ruffles, pearls, & luxe fabrics.
Coco loved beautiful details, and nothing is more classically elegant than an invitation with perfect black script on crisp white paper.
Anemones are delicate & lovely, but there’s something about their bold black centers that makes them edgy. Bundled into haphazard arrangements, they infuse a bit of decadence to a party centerpiece. European men love bold accessories: dress up your date with fashion-y ties in graphic pinks, black, & white.
Nothing says Parisian glamour like a vintage Chanel serving tray. Use it as a perch for champagne & foie gras.
The French love sweets, and what could be more fun than sampling tiny versions of petit fours, macarons, & truffles? Displayed in geometric rows of black & white, they become a bold element to party decor.
Ooh-la-la! Mademoiselle Chanel would have swooned over these couture creations: jet black baby cakes topped with silver dragees and sugary white anemones.
Greet your guests with bubbly to set the tone for celebration. Table numbers with Art-deco details are a classically refined touch.
Just the type of frock I’d wear to our French-inspired fete: sexy & sculptural with an hourglass silhouette, this dress oozes Parisian sophistication.

Very classy blog. I love it, keep it up.
I LOVE everytihng about this and have the majority of these pictures saved in my wedding inspiration folder. I have alway dreamed of a black and white wedding with a touch of pink (and silver and gold). Thanks for giving me more inspiration!
Gorgeous post, and I LOVE that serving tray! I did a “Chanel-inspired” wedding theme a few months ago on my blog as well– too fun: http://www.parisianevents.com/parisianparty/a-chanel-inspired-wedding/
